Isles of Capri Fishing & Boat Trips
Isles of Capri is a small island community just north of Marco Island, tucked between the Marco River and the protected waters of Rookery Bay.
The water around Isles of Capri mixes quiet mangrove backwaters with quick access to the Gulf passes, so trips from this side of Marco can go looking for backcountry fish, dolphins or open beaches to the north.
Much of the surrounding shoreline is part of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, one of the few largely undeveloped mangrove estuaries left in North America.
Shelling by boat
Undeveloped barrier-island beaches to the north are reachable only by boat, and a favorite for shelling trips.
Rookery Bay backwaters
Protected mangrove waters with birds, dolphins and calm fishing on windy days.
Close to the passes
A short run to the Gulf when conditions are right.
