Local captains, one place to book
MarcoIslandFishing.com is a booking site just for Marco Island, Goodland and the Ten Thousand Islands. We bring the area’s fishing, shelling, dolphin and sunset trips together so you can compare real boats, real prices and open dates, and book with a local captain in a few minutes.
Why we built it
Marco Island is one of Southwest Florida’s great places to fish and explore by boat, with many excellent local captains. Finding and booking the right one usually means a lot of phone tag. We wanted one local place where you can see who’s free on your dates and book with confidence, while the captains who know these waters get more of their time back on the water.
How we choose captains
- Licensed and insured. Every company uploads its captain’s license and insurance, and we review them before approving the company. We track expiration dates, and the “Licensed & insured” badge comes off if a document lapses.
- Every trip reviewed. We approve each trip’s description, photos and prices before guests see it, and again when a captain changes it.
- Real availability. Captains connect their boat calendars wherever possible, so you see the times they’re actually free.
- Held to a standard. Response time, reliability and private guest feedback all affect where a captain shows up in search.
How you’re protected
- No charge until confirmed. Your card is held when you book and only charged when your captain confirms, usually within 4 hours. If they can’t take you, the hold is released.
- Clear cancellation rules. Full refund if you cancel 72+ hours before your trip, 50% from 72 to 24 hours, no refund within 24 hours. If your captain cancels for weather, you get a full refund or can reschedule.
- Weather. If your captain calls a trip off for weather, you can pick a new day or get a full refund, including any service fee.
- Your privacy. Captains don’t get your email address. You message through your booking page, and your captain sees your phone number only shortly before the trip so you can find each other at the dock.
- Secure payments through Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers.
For captains
No monthly fee: captains choose their own commission and only pay when a trip is booked, with payouts straight to their bank after each trip. List your charter.
